Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
How are we supposed to react and process the news, when a life threatening illness attacks a loved one, when we are told the expecting baby is most likely not going to survive when it is born, when we receive news that someone dear to us is being transported by Aero Med after an accident....etc?
Jesus invites us to “live in Him”, to “make his home our home”.
Home is where we feel safe. Home is a place of refuge and security.
Jesus is our home. He is our refuge and security. We find our rest, comfort and peace in Him.
When we hold the hand of the ONE who holds our future, we can be assured that no matter what is going on in our life, He will be there to see us through....we need to hold on to His hand and never let go.
In trying times, we need to fill our minds with the truth of God so the enemy can not attack our thoughts.
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
